Technical Direction & Live Switching
At its core, Technical Direction is the art of real-time storytelling through precision execution. As Technical Directors (TDs), we sit at the intersection of the creative and technical worlds, transforming a director’s vision into a seamless broadcast or live experience. We are responsible for the "pulse" of the show—operating complex switching systems to transition between live camera shots, graphics, and video playback with frame-accurate timing. Beyond just pushing buttons, we manage the underlying signal flow, troubleshoot infrastructure on the fly, and lead production crews to ensure every cue is hit perfectly.
What We Do…
Live Switching & Vision Mixing: Execute real-time cuts, dissolves, and digital effects across multi-camera setups for IMAG (Image Magnification) and broadcast feeds.
Show Calling & Cuing: Coordinate with graphics, audio, and playback teams to maintain show pacing and consistency.
System Configuration: Build and maintain the "brain" of the production, including broadcast control rooms and signal routing infrastructure.
Team Leadership: Supervise camera operators and technical crews, providing clear communication to deliver a unified visual product.
